We are always trying to attract new large sponsors that can support James and Jonathan with their 2011 ambitions. Motorsport has never been an easy and cheap sport to compete in and unlike most other sports, we the competitors pay to be there and entertain the crowds.
British Superbikes has a total of 12 rounds, usually run over a 7 month period. Each event lasts for 3 days (Friday to Sunday with the exception of Bank Holidays), and has attendances between 20,000 – 45,000 paying spectators per day plus corporate sponsorship guests and teams. In addition each event is televised live on a Sunday from 10am until 6pm on Eurosport, and is repeated most evenings for the following week at varying times. Eurosport put their viewing figures as between 150,000 -350,000 per showing dependant on the day and time – the main showing being of course race day.
The really good thing about BSB is the accessibility of the riders to the general public who have full access to the paddocks and riders – so the bikes (and therefore advertising) are constantly on show throughout the weekends. There are also articles in the printed media such as the MCN, BSB magazine and local press; and articles on the BSB website. BSB provides excellent hospitality opportunities, a great day out, and excellent advertising opportunities at a fraction of the cost of many other sports. Advertising can be offered on both the bike and the riders leathers as well as in the paddock area.
