25/10/10 Donington Thundersport
Jonathan raced at the final Thundersport GB round held at Donington park last weekend. It was cold on the friday practice day, but allowed him to get comfortable with the circuit and learn the new chicane. Friday afternoon was qualifying and Jonathan managed another Thundersport pole position by just over a quarter of a second. It had rained heavily over night and during the course of the day and the two races on saturday where in very wet conditions. Finishing the first race in 3rd and the second in 2nd was a good result, but couldnt hold the pace of the leader, Marc Hughs in the awful condtions. "I nearly crashed about four times trying to keep up with Marc, i had no heat in the front tyre and had it completely locked up or sliding away on a number of occations. There is no control tyre in this championship and the Bridgestones that Marc was running made it look so easy for him!" After realising he couldn't keep up and having over a 10 second gap to 3rd place man, he backed off and just finished the race.
Sunday was another day though and with the sun out all day the track was dry, but still very cold. Jonathan started the race from 3rd on the grid after saturdays superpole race, but made a bad start and got caught in a melee putting him back down to 8th place exiting the first corner. He sliced his way back through the pack and into 2nd place by the end of the lap and was catching the leader, Marc Hughs. On lap two though, Marc crashed down Craner Curves, loosing the front end on a cold tyre. This put Jonathan back into first position, where he gapped 2nd place by 8 seconds by lap 4 and just maintained the gap to the end of the race.

11/10/10 Oulton Park BSB
James Lodge won his second British Championship, finishing 4th in the race put him just 4 points ahead of Guiver in the overall standings.
The 21-year-old is the SpeedyRetail.com British 125GP Champion for the second year after taking fourth place at the Cheshire circuit to hold off the challenge of his title rival Rob Guiver.
The Essex rider finished a place ahead Lodge, but that ensured that the RS Racing and Earnshaws Motorcyles-backed racer took the title by four points - the final scores to 149 to Lodge and 145 to Guiver.
Lodge had gone into the final event of the season withe a seven point lead over Guiver and knew exactly what he had to do when it came to placings - though that didnt make it any less tense for the reigning champion.
However he didn't get the best of starts and from 3rd on the grid Lodge slipped back to ninth before clawing his way back into the race.
Lodge stated before the season that he wanted to make a point this season having not won as many races as he would have liked on the way to the 2009 crown and was clearly delighted to have finished top this time with five race wins in the bag.

For Jonathan the 2010 season came to a memorable end as he took fifth place in the years final event at Oulton Park.
The Yamaha- Earnshaws rider was justifiably delighted with his best showing at this level of racing.
"To finish a race in fifth place in such a tough championship was by far by best acheivement in racing, and on a bike that is now 3 years old. I was the first yamaha home behind the four factory supported Kawasakis and Triumphs"
29/9/10 Oulton Test Day
Jonathan Lodge was away at Oulton Park on Tuesday the 28th. The day started off damp and Jonathan waited out till the track was in better condition. The day was pretty quiet and a few Superstock, Supersport and Superbike riders where riding that day. Jonathan managed to get down to a very similar time to what he was doin at the meeting in May there on used tyres so is hoping for a good weekend at the final BSB round there next weekend.
27/9/10 Silverstone BSB report
James Lodge was gifted some luck this weekend after losing the championship lead at Croft after two non scores. He finished 2nd in the race and benefitted greatly from the two main championship contenders falling off. This has put James back in the lead by 7 points.
The race was halted after the warm up lap due to rain and all the riders switched to a wet setup. After a good forecast for sunday James never rode in the wet practice on friday morning, opting to wait for better conditions later that day. Despite having no prior track time in the wet, he made a good start and was up to 3rd place on the first lap. Taylor Mackenzie crashed out at the very end of lap one on the slippery last corner putting James up to 2nd. From there it was a three way dice between Deane Brown, Rob Guiver and James. Rob Guiver was pushing hard and slipped off at the same corner as Taylor. Having no way to show that Rob was out so late, James pushed on still thinking Rob was there behind him and was very close to crashing on the last lap, having to use the Formula One run off area to rejoin the track. He looked behind and saw there was noone in sight and settled for 2nd place.
Championship Standings:
James Lodge - 136
Rob Guiver - 129
Deane Brown - 125
